Ride Waivers
Every participant on a Granite State IMRG ride—members and guests alike—must complete a ride‑day waiver before joining the group on the road. These waivers help ensure that everyone understands the risks of group riding and allow our chapter to run safe, well‑organized events.
We provide three versions of the waiver so ride leaders can quickly collect the correct form for each participant:
- Adult Rider Waiver
- Passenger Waiver
- Minor Rider/Passenger Waiver
All waivers are formatted to print cleanly and can be completed on the day of the ride.
Instructions for Ride Leaders
Before the Ride
- Arrive with printed copies of all three waivers in your ride‑day folder.
- Identify any non‑members, first‑time riders, passengers, or minors who need to complete a waiver.
- Confirm that each participant signs the correct form and that all required fields are filled out clearly.
- For minors, ensure the parent or legal guardian signs the form.
- Collect completed waivers before the pre‑ride briefing begins.
During the Ride
- Keep all waivers together in your ride‑day folder or clipboard.
- If the group picks up additional riders at a secondary meeting point, pause long enough to collect the appropriate waiver before they join the formation.
After the Ride
- Return all completed waivers to the Chapter Secretary or designated officer for record‑keeping.
- Do not discard or recycle waivers; they must be retained by the chapter.
Annual Waiver vs. Ride‑Day Waiver
Members sign an annual waiver as part of their membership renewal.
This covers general participation in chapter activities throughout the year.
All riders and passengers — including members — must also complete a ride‑day waiver for each chapter‑sponsored ride.
Ride‑day waivers are tied to the specific date, route, and conditions of the event, which provides clearer documentation and stronger protection for both participants and the chapter.
This dual approach keeps things simple for members while ensuring that every ride is properly documented.
